Camping Trip to Lake Huron

I absolutely love the outdoors!  I wish I could spend all my time outside.  I am most happy and at peace when I am outside with nature.  Camping is a perfect fit for me!

My husband and I have enjoyed lots of camping trips together over the years.  We were much more accustomed to back country camping and portaging until our little ones came along.  We have since discovered the world of car camping and invested in a whole second tub of camping gear.

Last week we went to MacGregor Point.  It is on the shores of Lake Huron, just 5 minutes South of Port Elgin.  It is such a great family spot.  We spent a lot of time there last summer when Little V was just a few months old.  It's a great camp ground and the location is wonderful.  There are beautiful beaches so close by - Gobles Grove, Port Elgin and Southhampton, to name a few.

Camping, playing at the beach and eating ice cream cones at the harbor are just so much more fun with two little kids in tow!

Remembering to take a family photo as camp was almost packed up!
The girls chill'n in their little "camping chairs".

Little V LOVES sand!  You couldn't keep it out of her hands (or mouth and hair!).
We saw a porcupine from the side of the road!

All aboard the Port Elgin Miniature Steam Train!
