Welcome to Pepper Picnic!

Well, here goes, my first blog entry...

I must confess, I’ve never enjoyed writing.  It’s not one of those things that come naturally to me.  It blows my mind how my husband could write for hours on end while actually enjoying it!  I’m a kindergarten teacher and writing report cards 3 times a year is the most painful part of my job!  How much can a kindergarten teacher have to write, you may ask?  Well, I teach at a private school where each student’s report card is a 5 page essay!  Yes, it’s a wonderful school and you will not miss a beat on your child’s development.  I do, however, love to communicate.  I’m really excited, and nervous, to be setting this blog up to share with you the millions of ideas that run through my head every second of the day (and night!).  The virtual world is still somewhat new to me so bear with me as I freshen up my tech skills.  It will be a work in progress but I hope you enjoy the ride!

Now, for some tidbits about me...  My name is Corry.  I am a very lucky mom with two beautiful little girls.  I’m currently on a maternity leave and loving every day with my daughters.  Each day is filled with endless fun, laughter, surprises and of course – pure chaos!  It’s wonderful chaos, though, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We fill our days with baking, cooking, eating, crafting, loving the outdoors, dancing, singing, reading, telling stories, playdates, cleaning and tidying.  Some days we can repeat this list about 10 times!

I look forward to sharing our many adventures with you.

Stay tuned for our favourite homemade granola recipe.

  3. You didn't enjoy writing all those report cards?! I sure enjoyed reading them! I will never forget how hard I laughed when I read how my son "benefits from sitting next to the teacher" ~ it still makes me giggle!
